In class, we did several worksheets where we find in were tasked with finding the area and volume of different shapes. These worksheets helped us look for different ways the habit of a mathematician could be implemented into area and volume. While working on this project in math we used so many different habits of a math matiton with the way we would go back and use previous knowledge. I also found myself to be starting small because we would go through and find previous knowledge from other questions that we already knew. One of the first things we started with was a recap on Pythagoras theorem because if you didn't know that you wouldn't be able to understand the basics of anything else we were doing. From there we worked on what the equation of a circle is, (x^2 + y^2 = 1), this would help us with several of are pieces of work that were given to us, on picture 3 it shows some of the circle pages that were given to solve then use when we needed some kind of reference. (picture 3). Using Pyagorithyrom it would also be used as a reference (Picture 2). This helped us understand right triangle trigonometry, this helped us learn what sin, cos, and tangent where.I personally didn't know what this was until we actually started to use them in class. We learned and used for trig equations such as opposite/hypotenuse = sine to solve for missing sides on a triangle. Ounce we started to understand the simplistic we went on to solving for the area of a polygon. We were able to find the are of a polygon by taking apart the polygon and splitting it into right sided triangles and if that didn't work we would use more of our knowledge that we learned and try something else, In (picture 4) this shows the coral problems where we started to learn how to solve different sizes of a polygon and find their area. Ounce we figured out the area we move on to finding out what volume is we started with right cylinders the way we find our answer is by using the formula, area of the base x height. Then we created yangmas, three pyramids cut from a single cube. Because we knew that each of these pyramids was 1/3 the volume of the cube.
Design your own project
For this project, we were tasked with finding are own object that we would either be finding the Area or volume of an object. We could choose anything and I decide I would use a previous project witch came from scaling your world. It was a cut out of the United States with the cut out of the American flag on the inside. It has 6 strips and 45 stars. My object was to figure out the volume of the cutout. As I talked to Dr. Drew about it, he said that I need to find the volume of the states with the cut of the united states. Originally I was not planning on it but Dr. Drew wanted to challenge me so I went along with it. I knew it was going to be a challenge because of all of the different cuts in the united states that I would need to find the missing lengths of each section. I was also not sure of how I was going to do this because it is such a big perice to look at and work on at the same time. So Dr. Drew started me in the right direction by taking chunks of the united states so it wasn't one large piece it was multiple that made up one.

Reflection
I really liked this project because it was just a recap of everything that we learned. Thought the last month I think it was very beneficial because of the way we were able to challenge are selfs in different ways with what we either chose to do hit projects. I found my self to be working very small and working up because I had to measure all of the sides with also fighting out the sizes of each section. I also found my self taking it apart and putting it back together because I had to take each section from the hole pieces then I had to find the volume of each section and its cut out. Then I would have to put it together to find the total volume of the united stares cut out.

Over all reflection
Throughout this whole project, I was intrigued because it being something that we will use in the real world. What I mean by this is there are world significants with this and we would use it at some point in our life. One other really important thing for me would be the way were able to implement all of the different habits of a mathmatitoon because e used almost every single one at one point because we had to everything from starting small all the way to taking apart the problem at hand. I also think with the problem where we did it on age own really shows how we can use this kind math in the real world. I especially think mine was one of the ones that was a little bit more significant where you would possibly want to know the volume or the area of it. In all, I thought this project was helpful even though we did have a lot of papers to work on.
